November is a day away, and so is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).

Several Edgers have asked if I’m doing NaNoWriMo this year. The short answer is no. The longer answer is no, but. Since I don’t like ending sentences with prepositions, let me elaborate.

I needed October to recover from thirty days of writing and posting in September. Late Autumn is an inspirational time for me, so I can’t not do something for November. I can’t not do something. Right.

Staff meetings have been held. Minutes and hours have been taken. For the most part, everybody’s in lock-step. So, in honor of not being driven to not do something, we here at the plexiglass-enclosed nerve center of Mapping the Edge hereby declare November 2015 as National Do Something Month. NaDoSoMo 2015.

What exactly is NaDoSoMo? How can we know until we start mapping its edges? So, get to work. Not you, dear reader, you precious member of The Collective Edge. I’m talking to You, the One looking over my shoulder, the One whispering in my inner ear and out the outer one.

You Who are called Muse, get to work. We’ve got less than 24 hours to figure this thing out, this month of no longer not doing something.

Well? I’m waiting…
