National Novel Writing Month is upon us. It is held annually during November 1-30.

Anyone can take part. All you need to do is sign up at NaNoWriMo.org and agree to write an average of 1,667 new words per day for thirty days. That’s 50,000 words for the month. That’s all.

I’m not signing up this year. I did National Poetry Writing Month (NaPoWriMo) in April and you guys are still suffering through my poetry!

Still, I plan on posting some type of creative writing every day in November. The creative writing posts will be in the range of 50 and several hundred words in length.

There’s nothing like making a public promise to force open a creative writing log jam!
